Vitamin B Complex

B Complex is a high-strength formula containing bioactive forms of vitamin B2, vitamin B6, vitamin B12 and folic acid.

These bioactive cofactors (riboflavin 5′-phosphate, pyridoxal 5′-phosphate, methylcobalamin and L-5-MTHF) can bypass the enzymatic processes required for the activation of synthetic forms and therefore produce more significant results.

Vitamin B1 (thiamine)

May support component metabolism and the nervous system. May promote accelerated wound healing. Its lack causes constipation (and the skin changes caused by it), swelling, allergic reactions. It influences the metabolism of adipose tissue and can help fight cellulite, boils, seborrhoea and skin inflammation. In cosmetics, it is most often found in products that contain yeast and wheat germ extracts.

Vitamin B2 R-5-P ( riboflavin 5-phosphate).

Supports the nervous system. Is responsible for supporting the appearance of the skin, mucous membranes, eyes and nerve root sheaths. Helps maintain the normal pH of the skin, supports wound healing, and the normal functioning of the skin, mucous membranes and epithelium of all organs. Deficiency causes cracking and peeling lips, the formation of cavities, seborrhoea. Drinking alcohol, coffee, taking contraceptives leads to its reduction. It can be used to fight acne, seborrhoeic dermatitis. It can delay the formation of wrinkles and maintains a healthy skin tone.

Vitamin B3 (niacin nicotinic acid)

Responsible for healthy skin appearance, digestive and nervous system function. Supports the immune system. Keeps the skin in good condition, regulates its exfoliation, influences the water balance of the skin and neutralises harmful UV radiation. Deficiency leads to a condition called pelagra, in which skin lesions occur in the form of redness, swelling and blisters on the arms, legs and face. Once the symptoms of the disease have subsided, the skin becomes hard, rough and cracks easily. Helpful against acne, inflammation of the skin. In cosmetics, it is most commonly used to nourish hair, in dandruff and in preparations for skin discolouration.

Vitamin B5 (pantothenic acid)

Responsible for normal metabolism, is a building block of hormones and enzymes. Supports haemoglobin synthesis, i.e. oxygen transport to all body tissues. Accelerates the healing process of micro- and macro injuries to the skin, has moisturising properties, soothes scars and burns, including sunburn. It improves the structure of the epidermis, accelerates the formation of melanin, regulates the sebaceous glands. It is needed for the proper growth of nails and hair. It penetrates perfectly into the hair improving its condition and reduces its tendency to split, dryness.

Vitamin B6 pyridoxine hydrochloride

Responsible for the normal functioning of the nervous system, red blood cell production, amino acid metabolism and skin condition. Deficiency promotes seborrhoeic inflammation of the face and neck. Helps fight acne and cellulite, and is used for combination and oily skin. Influences the condition of hair, prevents baldness. Delays the ageing process by influencing collagen synthesis.

B7 D-Biotin

Is essential for the correct metabolism and growth process of the human body. It is also used for the production of fatty acids, which are used to store energy needed for vital processes. It also supports the production of antibodies and digestive enzymes and some amino acids, which regulate metabolic processes and form a protective barrier for the body. Biotin is used in the treatment of alopecia and skin inflammation. It interacts with vitamins: B5, B9, B12.

B9 (folic acid) biologically active and naturally occurring form of folate (6S-5-MTHF).

Supports cell division occurring in the nervous system, blood cells and blood tissues. Participates in the metabolism of amino acids and carbohydrates. Accelerates the regeneration of the epidermis, reduces the effects of photoageing, reduces the harmful effects of UV radiation. Folic acid intake is recommended for women in the first trimester of pregnancy, for the proper functioning of the foetus.

Vitamin B12

Before the body can utilise ordinary vitamin B12 (cyanocobalamin), it needs to convert it into the active form methylcobalamin. The vitamin B12 contained in the Forest Vitamin® product on offer is METYLOCOBALAMINE, the active form of vitamin B12.

It does not need to be converted in the body and is therefore the best absorbed form of this vitamin.

Properties of vitamin B12

The primary function of vitamin B12 is to maintain and enhance normal metabolism, immune function and cell division.

  • It is converted in the mitochondria (the structures of our cells) into the active form adenosylcobalamin and performs as a cofactor for coenzymes important tasks in the mitochondrial metabolic process.
  • In the cytoplasm (inside the cells) it is converted into the active form methylcobalamin.
  • Vitamin B12 belongs to the mitotropic substances, i.e. it acts directly on the mitochondria.
  • helps the normal functioning of the immune system.
  • contributes to the maintenance of normal energy metabolism.
  • helps to maintain normal homocysteine metabolism.
  • helps to maintain normal psychological functions.
  • contributes to the reduction of feelings of tiredness and fatigue.
