FISETIN

Fisetin is a naturally occurring flavonoid found in fruit and vegetables such as strawberries, apples, kaki fruit, grapes, citrus and onions. Its effects largely overlap with those observed for other flavonoids, such as catechins from green tea or quercetin. Fisetin shows antioxidant properties.

Recently, fisetin has attracted the attention of researchers as a substance with a high potential for promoting longevity. It is categorised as a senolytic, i.e. a substance that eliminates ageing cells, also known as zombie cells, from the body. Through this action, the function of healthy cells can be maintained. Senolytics, including fisetin, are currently at the centre of anti-ageing research.
