Sodium butyrate, or butyric acid, belongs to the group of short-chain fatty acids, which are the main source of energy for colonocytes, or intestinal epithelial cells. Supports the formation of friendly bacteria that enhance probiotics. Supports detoxification and weight loss. Butyrate helps to cleanse the gallbladder and bile ducts. It is also ketone diet friendly and supports the removal of unwanted fats that accumulate with age and increases leptin production to support healthy weight loss. Sodium butyrate is gradually released so that the process takes place throughout the small and large intestine.
